We're an emerging theatre company and like all emerging theatre companies we're struggling for recognition in a climate where big funders favour physical fitness, film and football stadiums. But what about 'featre'? We've tried T.I.E. and that doesn't quite do it for us. We're autonomous home educators. We've done large scale community productions on voluntary energy, and well, that's great fun but exhausting and can't go on forever. The big question is: is the ancient art of theatre dying a slow death?

was born in 2002.

We're still here; we make Ancient and Modern theatre; we're alive and kicking and we're not giving up - yet. It's back to the medieval times of grass roots theatre, with no funding and no commercial effects - let's keep it simple - pure nerve, energy and guts and we've just got to learn to crawl before we can walk, let alone run, skip and jump along side the industry.

We're a bunch of trained professionals, with International Connections, doing radical theatre outside of London. We want to bring a bit of Berlin Night Life to the Heart of Devon. We have a resident Playwright called Peter Oswald, who is one of the only verse playwrights in England and who is also resident playwright for the Globe in London. We offer training opportunities, and regular Platforms for experimental performance and new works.
